About The AcoustiRACK™ 24U Cabinet

The AcoustiRACK 24U soundproof cabinet is currently our smallest vertical 19-inch enclosure, suitable for a mixture of server and comms equipment. The maximum recommended capacity is 23U's - allowing for a 1U gap at the top to allow for warm air escape from the acoustically baffled roof unit.

Soundproofing Materials Safety

The soundproofing materials that line the inside of the AcoustiRACK™ cabinet range have been carefully selected to meet stringent flammability standards and have been thoroughly tested in this respect. Important Thermal Load Recommendations

The limits of thermal loading in an AcoustiRACK™ soundproof 19" cabinet are governed to a degree by the type of equipment installed, and the location of that equipment inside the quiet rack cabinet. This is because the rack cabinet 'self-venting' design utilises the cooling fans inside installed equipment to move air from the front through to the rear of the cabinet.

To achieve optimum cooling efficiency inside the AcoustiRACK™, we recommend that you:

1. Use Blanking Plates for Empty Space

Ensure that gaps between equipment in the front of the cabinet are filled using sound-proofed blanking plates wherever possible - this reduces warm air re-circulation inside the cabinet, and further enhances noise reduction.

2. Mount Equipment towards the Front of the Cabinet

Ensure that 19-inch equipment is mounted towards the front of the cabinet - which will also reduce air recirculation, and therefore maximize the cooling potential of the enclosure.
