The Intel Core W processor family brings powerful multi-threaded performance to professional workstations. With high core and thread counts, these CPUs are built for demanding workloads, from fast 8-core models to ultra-high-core-count configurations. Core W processors deliver reliable, sustained performance for 3D rendering, CAD/CAE, simulations, media production, and other intensive professional applications.

At the heart of these workstations are Intel Core W processors, paired with the Intel W790‑series workstation platform. Designed to leverage the expanded capabilities of the W790 chipset, the platform supports eight‑channel DDR5 memory with ECC Registered DIMMs and capacities up to 2 TB, providing exceptionally high memory bandwidth and data integrity for complex datasets.

The W790 chipset coupled with the Sapphire Rapids processors will support up to 112 lanes of PCIe 5.0. This gives us possible multi-GPU configurations beyond two cards with 7x16. Beyond the huge PCIe support, the chipset also offers up to 3 M.2 Slots, 2 SlimSAS slots & 8 SATA 3.0 ports and an increased number of USB 2 and USB 3 ports.
