The servers in this range boost performance by up to 30%-50% in comparison to the previous generation, delivering huge value to small business servers, software-defined storage (SDS) and Internet of Things (IOT) applications in the public sector, industrial product, medical and cloud environments. Improvements over the previous generation range include increased reliability, security and performance-per-watt.

Other advancements include faster I/O bandwidth, enhanced energy efficiency and 50% more processor cores.

These new entry-class Supermicro systems provide enhanced I/O throughput and improved density per watt. Featuring up to six Xeon processor cores in 95 watts. If density per rack unit is what you are after, Supermicro MicroBlade systems support up to 28 server nodes in 6U. This Intel server platform is the earliest example of bringing 6 cores to entry level servers, delivering improved performance, advanced security, stronger reliability and better affordability.

There are a large number of UP servers available for you to choose from, allowing you to pick a solution that perfectly fits your needs and isn't carrying any unnecessary features. This leads to significantly improved cost effectiveness of these systems. If you are in need of a general-purpose server, Supermicro UP servers optimise a 6-core Xeon E processor and with up to 128GB DDR4 memory in a 1U form factor, with a variety of options for power and I/O.

Supermicro's high density MicroBlade systems support up to 28 nodes in 6U or 14 nodes in 3U, making them ideal data centre system applications. For cloud or web hosting applications, Supermicro MicroCloud systems feature up to 12 cost-efficient server nodes in 3U.
